My sensitivity and personal need for justice, ask the viewer to give my characters one more glance to their being. I almost force the viewer to notice and give them attention so they can really be seen.
The characters I paint are imprisoned in their own life, in their own destiny.
The motif that echoes in my work is the individual coping with society, relationships, destiny etc.
Supposedly I feel I am interrupting the object where I shouldn't, in its most intimate space. Though these characters need and long for attention, they gave up their faith and voice to do so. They would choose not to expose themselves in this album of fragile moments, pictures. These are their most naked and painful situations. However by doing so I feel I'm giving them a stage.
My work is a mixture of several techniques (oil on canvas, ink on paper and mixed media).
